BR BLACK LEATHERETTE MATERIAL

Postby mmacarthur » 11 Feb 2011 00:11

Hi There, I am after some black leatherette seat material which has a dot hole pattern at 1/4" centres, and was used to cover seat bases and arm rests in BR loco cabs of older class of locos etc. Has any body got some left over from a restoration project, as a need a piece approx 20" x 60" to cover to two seat bases and two armrests for my Class 03 cab restoration job.

If someone comes up with a supplier I may be interested in some myself as some of the seats in 5185 are looking a bit tatty now.

Am I correct in thinking that 37's seats were built with a 'red' version of this material? if so, what is the spec an does anyone know where to gt some from?

I think 37037's cab seats have been refurbished like this.

Thanks.
