Another exellent day out behind 1015 with a superb run up from Norwich(thanks midi). I would also like to thank all those who gave applause to celebrate Chris Broadhurst's life at Witham, Chris was one of Diesel Preservation's true gentlemen. R.I.P mate you'll be sorely missed.

Cracking day out topped by the awesome run back from Norwich. Congratulations all round for those who made the trip and the run back from Norwich possible.

......seconded.....

One of our volunteers at MNR was route conductor for part of the trip, thoroughly enjoyed himself & is a Western convert!! 8) 8)
The departure from Witham was hellfire, a fitting tribute to a real gentleman & scholar, the wreath was a superb touch as well.
Chris once told me of how beautifull the sound of a well sorted Western on full throttle is, he was of course absolutly correct.
It was the best run I have ever had down the GE, reckon 1015 would keep CL 90 timings at that rate....... it's acceleration is astonishing.
Please bring her back round these parts sometime soon........& thanks to the DTG, Pathfinder for a very enjoyable day out. :D :D

The Great Eastern run back to Liverpool Street with D1015 was absolutely superb. A cracking day out and my thanks to everyone involved for making this tour a pleasant one. Photos of D1015 on her Anglian debut can be viewed by clicking the link below:

I have to say it was a fitting tribute to a lost friend who would have loved to be on the trip through his home patch.Norwich to London Liverpool Street in less than two hours. :D

London Liverpool Street to Old Oak Common TMD in just under two hours as well, what a shambels

Thanks for your contribution to the day, it was very much appreciated. In fact the whole day was very successful and the tributes to Chris were just perfect.

I have reason to believe that Fotopic have now fallen victim to the "CREDIT CRUNCH" as they've now gone bust!
