Mid-Norfolk Railway Diesel Traction

PostPosted: 31 Dec 2017 17:43

The Mid-Norfolk railway currently has a shortage of Diesel Locomotives able to provide motive power for events and diesel running days, locomotives away for overhaul or awaiting works and recent decline in resident locomotives.

We are therefore looking for a locomotive equipped with operable ETS supply for a period between 6-12 months from early March 2018.

If you are, or are part of a locomotive owning group that is interested in having a holiday in Mid-Norfolk, please feel free to contact me to discuss.

3rd parties need not respond, though your help in sharing this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Has there been any photographs yet of 73210 running at its new home at Ecclesbourne?

This is the only photo I know of. It is not mine and belongs to Jack Knights.

ED 73210 is now being looked after by a group at EVR with occasional help from Dick and Michael Garbut. The Air brake system is being restored and may be by now completed. The loco has done a number of trips along the line and I am sure will be available through 2019.

Hope this helps.
